ADIOS CBD, LLC respects the privacy of every player, tester, partner and visitor who comes into contact with our studio. This document describes the information we handle, the reasons we handle it, the choices available to you and the safeguards we apply. It is written in plain English so that a player can understand it without legal training, and it is reviewed each year by the team at the studio address shown below.
Our games are built by Adios Studio, the development practice operated inside Adios Interactive Limited. When this policy describes the studio at work, it refers to that practice and to the designers, engineers and live content staff who deliver it. The company that decides how information is used, and that answers for those decisions, is ADIOS CBD, LLC.
The company registered address is 3989 N Dillon Way, North Ogden - 84414, United States (US). You may write to that address at any time if you have a question about privacy or wish to exercise one of the rights described in this policy.
We believe that privacy is a design material, not a legal afterthought. Before a feature is built, the team asks what information it needs, whether a smaller amount would do, and how long the information must remain. Many features in our games collect nothing at all, and those that do collect only what a short, calm play session requires.
This policy applies to our website at www.adios.rest, to the casual mobile games published by ADIOS CBD, LLC, to the live operations and cloud save services behind those games, and to the playtest cohorts we run from the North Ogden studio. It does not apply to third party storefronts or platforms, which publish their own privacy notices that you should read separately.
ADIOS CBD, LLC is a computer systems design company working in the professional, scientific and technical services sector. Our focus is computer integrated systems design for casual interactive entertainment. In everyday terms, we design short session mobile games and the systems that keep them running: save services, quest calendars, event scheduling and store listings.
For information handled through our games, website and playtest programmes, Adios Interactive Limited acts as the data controller. This means the company determines why information is collected, what is done with it and how long it is kept. Our team can be reached by email at hello@adios.rest or by telephone at +16477119031 during Mountain time business hours.
This policy covers three broad areas. The first is the website you are reading, including the contact form and any download or account related pages. The second is our catalogue of casual games, together with the daily quest system, seasonal events and cloud save service that support them. The third is our playtest programme, where invited players try early builds and share observations.
When you install a game from an app store, the store operator collects information under its own policy before our game is even opened. That collection is outside our control, and we encourage you to review the notice provided by the store. Once our game runs, the information described in this policy begins to apply.
Some features invite you to follow a link to a third party service, such as a social network or a community forum. Those services are governed by their own rules. This policy ends at the moment you leave our website or open a third party link inside a game.
We group the information we collect into a small number of categories. Each category is described in the sections that follow. The categories are account and profile data, gameplay and progress data, device and technical data, cloud save data, support and contact data, and playtest cohort data.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your photo library, your microphone, your camera feed or your health information. Our games do not request access to those sources, and we have no engineering reason to add them. If a future feature ever required a new source, this policy would be updated before that feature shipped.
In most games you can play as a guest without creating an account. In that case we hold a temporary player identifier on your device so the game can remember progress between sessions. The identifier is not linked to your name, your email address or any public profile.
If you choose to create an account, we ask for a small set of details. These typically include a display name that you select and an email address used for sign in and account recovery. If you sign in through a platform identity service, we may receive a stable identifier and an email address from that service, but only with your permission at the moment of sign in.
Your display name is visible to you and, where the game offers a friends list, to players you choose to add. We ask that display names avoid personal information such as a full legal name, a home address or a telephone number. A nickname is always enough.
Account data is used to authenticate you, to keep your progress attached to you across devices, to send service messages such as a password reset, and to answer support requests. We do not sell account data, and we do not use your email address for marketing unless you have asked to receive studio news.
You may request deletion of an account at any time by writing to hello@adios.rest. Deletion removes the profile, the cloud save records and the associated support history, except where a short retention is required for fraud prevention or legal compliance.
Our games record the state of play so that a player can return to it. This includes the level reached, the puzzles solved, the items collected and the quests completed. Progress data is the heart of a casual game: it is what allows a player to close the app on a bus and continue on a tablet at home without losing a step.
We also record aggregate information about how a build performs, such as how often a level is restarted or where a session ends. This information arrives in a statistical form that does not identify an individual player, and the team uses it to soften a difficulty spike or to find a confusing board. A session that ends early is a question, not a failure, and we treat it as a prompt to look closer.
Gameplay data is stored for as long as the account or guest record remains active. If a record is inactive for an extended period, we may remove it after giving notice through the game itself. The notice period is generous because we know that players return to a favourite puzzle after a long break.
When a game runs, our systems receive technical information that allows the app to work. This includes the operating system and its version, the device model, the language setting, the app version and build tag, the time zone and a general region derived from the network. It may also include a device level identifier used for error reporting and for the save service.
This information is used to keep builds stable across a wide range of devices, to route a save to the correct record, to diagnose a crash and to confirm that a seasonal event does not exceed the size a device can comfortably handle. It is not used to build an advertising profile, and we do not combine it with information from other apps on your device.
We limit collection to what the game needs to run. We do not read the list of apps installed on your device, we do not inspect your files, and we do not collect the telephone number of the device. Where a permission is required, we ask at the point of use and explain the reason in a short in game message.
The cloud save service stores your progress away from a single device so that it can be restored. The record contains the same progress information described above, together with a small amount of metadata such as the time of the last sync, the app version that produced it and a checksum used to confirm that the record is intact.
When two devices hold different versions of a save, our service compares the time of the last meaningful session and the completeness of the record. The most recent meaningful session is kept, and the other record is held briefly as a recovery copy. A short log of the resolution is available in the game so that a player can see what happened.
A local copy of the save also remains on the device. This copy is the first line of defence when a connection drops, and it is removed only when the player deletes the app or clears the app data. You may force a manual sync or restore a recent recovery copy from the account screen at any time.
Cloud save records are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the systems that perform the sync and to a small number of engineers who investigate a support case, each of whom works under a confidentiality obligation.
When you contact the studio, we receive the information you choose to send. Through the contact form this includes your name, your email address, a subject and your message. By email it includes whatever you write and the address you write from. By telephone it includes the number you call from and any details you share during the call.
Support data is used to answer your question, to reproduce a problem and to improve the game or the service you are writing about. If a message contains a screenshot or an attachment, we keep it only for as long as it helps resolve the case. We do not add support addresses to a marketing list.
Our website contact form prepares a message in your own email application. The message is sent from your email account to hello@adios.rest, and the website itself does not store the contents of the form. This design keeps the number of places where personal data is held as small as possible.
Playtest cohorts are small invited groups who try early builds and share observations with the team. To run a cohort, we collect the display name, email address and device details of each participant, together with a note of the build they tested and the sessions they attended.
During a session a facilitator takes notes about what happens on screen, such as where a player pauses or which board causes confusion. We record these notes in a form that describes the experience rather than the person. With your permission we may record audio of the conversation, and any such recording is stored securely and deleted once the written summary is complete.
Cohort notes are used to prioritise fixes and to understand how a casual loop feels in real hands. Participants may request a copy of the summary that follows their session, and may ask to be removed from future cohorts at any time by replying to the invitation email.
We use the information described in this policy for a short list of purposes. These are to provide and operate our games and website, to keep your progress and restore it when needed, to deliver daily quests and seasonal events, to answer support requests, to run playtest cohorts, to diagnose and fix technical problems, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. We do not build profiles for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to data brokers. Our interest in data is practical: it helps a small team keep a calm game running for players who drop in for a few minutes.
We may use aggregated, de-identified information to understand broad trends, such as how many players reach a given level or how often a seasonal event is opened. This information cannot be linked back to an individual player and is used only for product planning.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following. We rely on contract where processing is needed to provide a game or service you have requested. We rely on consent where you have opted in to something optional, such as receiving studio news or taking part in a recorded playtest.
We rely on legitimate interests where processing supports the safe and reliable operation of our games, such as fraud prevention, error diagnostics and the security of the save service. We have balanced those interests against your rights and have limited the processing to what is necessary. Where the law requires a specific basis for a particular activity, we rely on that basis directly.
You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that happened before the withdrawal, and it does not stop processing that rests on another basis, such as the contract for a game you continue to use.
Like most studios, we rely on a small number of specialist providers for hosting, email delivery, crash reporting and payment processing. Each provider is chosen for its security record and is bound by a written agreement that limits its use of information to the service it provides to us.
Our hosting provider stores the save service and the website. Our email provider delivers support messages and account notices. Our crash reporting provider receives technical information about an error so that an engineer can reproduce it. Payment processing, where a game offers an optional purchase, is handled by the platform store and not by our own servers.
We review each provider at least once a year and remove any that no longer meets our standard. A provider that suffers a security incident must notify us promptly so that we can assess the impact and inform you where necessary.
ADIOS CBD, LLC is based in the United States, and our primary systems are operated from that region. Some service providers operate infrastructure in other countries, so information may be transferred outside the region where you live. Where that happens, we use a recognised transfer mechanism and apply contractual protections that follow the information.
The level of protection in another country may differ from the level in your own. When we transfer information, we take steps to ensure that it continues to receive protection consistent with this policy, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and a restriction on onward transfer without an equivalent safeguard.
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose that justified collection. Account data remains while the account is active and for a short period after deletion so that a mistake can be corrected. Cloud save records remain while the game is supported, and inactive records are removed after a notice period announced inside the game.
Support messages are kept for two years from the date of the last reply, so that a recurring issue can be traced. Playtest notes are kept for the life of the project and are anonymised or deleted when the project closes. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period, usually between thirty and ninety days, unless an open investigation requires longer.
Records that must be kept for legal, tax or accounting reasons are retained for the period the law requires and are then deleted or anonymised. When information is no longer needed, we remove it from active systems and from backups within a reasonable cycle.
Security is built into our systems from the first design session. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to staff who need it for a specific task, and accounts are protected by strong authentication. Access to production systems is logged and reviewed, and changes to those systems pass through a documented approval step.
Our engineering team maintains a build pipeline with tagged releases and tested rollback paths, so a faulty update can be withdrawn quickly. We run regular backups of the save service and test restores, because a backup that has never been restored is only a hope. Staff receive privacy and security training when they join and at least once a year afterwards.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the relevant authority without undue delay and contact affected players with clear information about what happened, what we have done and what you can do to reduce the risk.
Depending on where you live, you may have a set of rights over your information. These typically include the right to be informed, the right of access, the right to correction, the right to deletion, the right to restrict processing, the right to object and the right to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.
To exercise a right, write to hello@adios.rest with enough detail for us to locate your records. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting, so that one player cannot reach another player profile. We answer requests within the period required by applicable law, and we do not charge a fee except where the law permits a reasonable charge for repeated or excessive requests.
If a request concerns a guest profile that has no account, we may be unable to identify the record without a device level identifier shown in the game settings. The game provides a screen that displays this identifier so that a support request can be matched to the correct save.
You may ask us to stop sending studio news at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by writing to the contact address. Stopping marketing does not stop essential service messages, such as a password reset or a security notice.
Our casual games are designed for a general audience, and some of our players are children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age where consent is required without the involvement of a parent or guardian. Where the law in a region sets a higher age, we apply the higher age.
The games can be played without creating an account, which keeps the information a younger player shares to a minimum. We do not serve interest based advertising to accounts identified as belonging to a child, and we do not invite young players into a recorded playtest without guardian consent.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information without consent, write to hello@adios.rest. We will review the record and remove it where appropriate.
Some of our games may include a small amount of in game advertising so that the game can remain free to play. Where advertising is present, we limit it to formats that respect a short session and never interrupt a puzzle in progress. We do not allow advertisers to build a profile of you across other applications through our games.
Where analytics are used, they measure broad product health, such as whether a build starts correctly and whether a level is completed. Analytics reports are aggregated, and we do not pass personal identifiers to an analytics provider for advertising purposes. Where the law requires consent for a non essential tool, we ask before it is used.
Our games and website may link to third party services, such as a platform store, a community forum or a video channel. When you follow such a link, the third party becomes responsible for the information it collects. We encourage you to read the privacy notice of any service before you share information with it.
We choose partners carefully and review the notices they publish. We do not control their practices, and a change in their policy is outside our influence. If you believe a partner is handling information in a way that conflicts with this policy, please tell us so that we can review the relationship.
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever a significant feature or a change in the law requires it. When we make a material change, we update the date at the top of this page and publish a short note in the game or on the website so that players can see what changed.
If a change affects how we use information in a way that requires your consent, we will ask for that consent before the change applies to you. A continued use of a game after a change means that you accept the updated policy, and you can always stop using a game or ask for deletion of your account if you prefer.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first at hello@adios.rest so that we can investigate and respond. We treat every privacy concern as a serious matter and aim to answer within ten business days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the data protection authority in the place where you live or work, or with the authority responsible for the company in the United States. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in the United States.
For any question about this policy, a request to exercise a right, or a concern about how your information is handled, please write to the studio. A member of the team will reply, and where a technical question is involved an engineer will join the response.
We value the trust that players place in the studio, and we take that trust seriously in every decision about data. Thank you for reading this policy in full.
